Wow Alex, I'm absoloutely blown away. This is an amazing read, and I think many of us who stay in science and watch our peers also have the same thoughts. I really loved the optimism at the end - we stay because we want to make a positive change. We stay because improving the lives of patients is what really matters. Alas, how else could we survive grad school and the emotionally gut wrenching repeated failed experiments.
Damn, what a great post
